The butterfly
Flynder simply started as fly plus finder. Then someone at a hangar party read the name out loud and heard vlinder, the Dutch word for butterfly. That turned out to be no accident: butterflies in your stomach at ten thousand feet is exactly what we are here for. It has flown in our logo ever since.

What is Flynder?
A dating and community app for aviation. Find a partner (Copilot), flying buddies (Wingmates), co-owners for a shared aircraft (Syndicate) and, later, aviation jobs (Crew Call). Through events you meet in real life.
Who is it for?
For everyone who works or flies in aviation: pilots (commercial and general aviation), cabin crew, ground staff, engineers and air traffic controllers. All roles are equal. Minimum age is 18.
How much does it cost?
The waitlist is free and the basics of the app will be free. Any extras will be decided later, together with the founding crew.
When does Flynder launch?
We are building the first version now. We will only announce a date once it is certain; the waitlist hears it first and gets access first.
What happens to my email address?
Launch updates only, with double opt-in. We never sell or share your address, and unsubscribing takes one click. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted automatically after 6 months.
Is it only for dating?
No. Without a dating profile you can still find flying buddies, look for co-owners for a shared aircraft, and simply join the fly-ins, hangar parties and meetups.
